WHAT IS MAGE KNIGHT TMG?

Inventions change the world. In the Mage Knight world, the Black Powder rebels have invented infernal machines and shattered the delicate balance of power. The Magical Avatars of the Atlantis Guild, the Necropolis Sect, and the Elemental League now struggle against the Rebels to regain control of the Mage Knight kingdoms.

In Mage Knight you take the role of a powerful warlord who with a strategic mind, gathers an army of Skeleton Knights, Trolls, Orcs, Wizards and Mechanical Golems to lead them in the creation of a new empire. Races of fantastic beings populate your army while arcane magic and power technologies arm them.

Mage Knight is a collectable, expandable miniatures game in which every plastic figure comes fully assembled and painted for you! Mage Knight has no huge rulebooks, no paperwork and no extra clutter on your game table – just action-packed play!

Mage Knight Starter Box
This starter set is the ideal way to start playing Mage Knight. It contains:

Mage Knight Starter Set Mage Booster Set

In Mage Knight you control your own army or warband. Each figure comes with a special dial at its base that shows you the characteristics of that character, including shooting range, attacks and life. These characters change as your character gets hit or else gets healed!

All you have to do is declare the action that your character is going to make (e.g. shoot an opponent) and work out the result. For example, player A commands his Utem Crossbowman to shoot at Player B’s Amazon Blademistress. The Dial Base of the Utem Crossbowman shows that he has a range of 10 inches with his bow and an Attack value of 8. Player A measures the distance between the two characters and finds out it is 8 inches. The Utem Crossbowman is within range and can fire! Player A throws to dice. He rolls a 2 and a 6! He adds this to the Attack value of the Utem Crossbowmen to get a total of 16. Player B checks the Dial base of the Amazon Blademistress and sees that she has a Defence value if 15. This is less than the attack score and the therefore the Amazon Blademistress gets one ‘click’ of damage! Player B turns (clicks) the Dial base of the hit character to the left. The dial base now shows the new characteristics of the Amazon Blademistress after she’s been hit.
