WHAT IS DUNGEONS & DRAGONS?

There’s something moving behind that door… perhaps it’s a vicious ogre waiting to tear you limb to limb. Or a horde of zombies thirsting for your blood. Or maybe a terrifying dragon ready to engulf your party in a maelstrom of fire.

Problem? Nope. Not for you. You are a hero – a powerful wizard, as strong fighter or a sneaky rouge. Together with your party you can handle whatever comes at you.

Dungeons and Dragons is the original Role Playing Game. Set in a fantasy world of dragons, mighty warriors, knights and dark creatures the game allows you and your friends to use your imagination and to live a breath-taking adventure the way you wish!

Player's Handbook
This is the basic book for all D&D adventurers. The player's handbook contains all the basic information regarding D&D game mechanics and character generation. The book comes with a PC CD ROM that allows you to generate your character on a PC!!

Dungeon Master Guide
If you want to be the one to lead the game this is your 'Bible'. The DM guide contains all the information required for you to prepare an intriguing and exciting adventure to your friends!!

Player's Handbook Dungeon Master Guide

Dungeons and Dragons is best played in a group, around a table, with one person acting as a Gamesmaster (GM). Each of the other players takes on the role of a different character. As a player it is up to you to decide what character you wish to be, including type, race, alignment and background (e.g. an Elf Ranger). All these characteristics have a bearing on the abilities and weaknesses of your characters throughout the game (e.g. Elves are agile and good with bows, but weaker than humans). If you wish you may also paint a miniature to represent you in the game! As you go along, provided that your character is not killed you gain experience and acquire new skills and knowledge between one adventure and another!

In the game the GM is responsible for the story line and for controlling all the events in the game apart from the actions of a character. You are responsible for your own character, and it is entirely up to you to decide what actions to take and how to face the challenges that the adventure throws in your way, just as in real life! Of course, it is also up to you to face the consequences…
